It’s impossible to go to a wedding and NOT have to do these dances. I needed my kids to teach me the Cha Cha Slide – who learned it in P.E.! – a year ago so I didn’t look ilke the only one on the planet who didn’t know what to do at my cousin’s wedding!
HA! I grew up doing the chicken dance. Every event I went to (my family is German and for some reason it was requisite at every Liederkranz-Turner event) we did that dance. I’m more impressed that you’ve managed to avoid it… It’s fun as a kid but I feel ridiculous doing it as an adult, for sure!
I had never been to a wedding where they did the chicken dance. That is until I went to a couple of weddings back east. (I’m in CA) The “chicken dance” was a big thing!
Hoping all is well with you and you are out enjoying “real life”!

What is it about weddings that make the chicken dance, the electric slide and the macarena acceptable?!?!

Just to be safe, I may not have a dance at my wedding, so nobody will capture me doing the chicken dance in my gown.

I’m too frightened even to play the video. Some things should die a slow death.

The first time I saw the Chicken Dance done at wedding my father was doing it. Now there’s a memory!
Life has gotten better but was imppossible for awhile. So, I haven’t been around. I hope it’s been a great summer for you!
